If I could give zero, I would. We were here today and had to wait more than two hours until everyone had something to eat. My food came after an hour, in between the meals were taken care of by other guests who came after us, and after more than 2 hours two identical dishes arrived (actually ordered two different ones) and they were also burnt. Unbelievable. Had it returned and didn't pay. Absolutely no recommendation!nI don't know if there is another chef and that's where the good reviews come from.nHorror, the whole day wasted in the Comedor!
Waited 2 hours for my tacos just to get served dry enchiladas with burnt chicken. Waiter just shrugs it off.
Nice and cozy bar at the lake
A local restaurant with tables facing the beach, I recommend being careful with the fish and asking if it is fresh, we ordered it and we ended up in the hospital due to poisoning, the fish was in poor condition, the price seemed excessive for the quality, it did not have a good flavor, it took 1:30 minutes to serve us the food, we will definitely not return
the coconut soup and other meals and juices were the best i had in nicaragua in my 10days here, eating at a different place every day
Two of us ordered the “arroz a la jardinera” that should’ve been vegetable rice with salad and bread. When the dishes came, it was only half a portion (very delicious) rice without salad or bread. After asking, two of us got one tiny bowl of salad to share but still no bread. Overall left hungry and dissatisfied while they charge more than the average price for similar restaurants. The other, grilled chicken dish was normal in size.
Very local place, a little rustic but with a stall with a nice view of the lake. The road next to it does raise a little dust while you eat, but the experience is still good.
A gem. Beautiful location. Great fish, lemonade and smoothies. Run by a lovely family.
The juices were delicious, and the food was also the best local food we had on our trip to Central and South America. The view right by the water was also amazing. Highly recommended after the hike to the waterfall
Great family-run comedor in a beautiful and quiet location. Unfortunately, the road isn't well-maintained, but traffic isn't great.nnWe were there twice for breakfast and dinner. We had the gallo pinto, vegetarian omelet, fish a la plancha, chicken a la plancha, and the vegetarian pasta. We highly recommend everything! The juices were also great; 2 liters of water were even cheaper than at the kiosk.
Fantastic lunch for eight, super friendly family and a amazing view. Perfect after hiking the waterfall.
We had a wonderful evening with Maria and her children. The place is fantastic for a romantic dinner. The food is simple and freshly prepared, even with vegetarian options. We had the vegetarian tacos as an appetizer.nnThe fresh coconut is always a highlight, there can't be enough of it.nnIt's definitely worth a trip.
Well the food was truly incredible, also the athmosphere was really interesting. Very good fish, rice and tostones. One of the best meals on our Nicaragua trip. However I think my coconut water was a bit fermented and both of us got stomach issues soon after eating there. Can't of course say if it was exactly their food or drinks that caused it, but it might be that their hygiene level is not suited to sensitive gringos like us, so be careful. Because this is a very primitive style home restaurant, which is very cool but there are the risks. Overall, I would give this five stars, but unfortunately they charged us a hefty amount of extra, probably a gringo price. In the end though the price still matched the food very well so it wasn't a big deal, just not that nice feeling.
Well hidden on the island but prepared delicious food with a wonderful view!
Awesome food, awesome atmosphere - definitely recommend! Great home cooked meal :) We got the fish & fried chicken - both great!
Best restaurant in Ometepe! Beautiful location on the water and delicious food
It is a good place with views of the lake, mountains, sunsets of the sun and excellent service
Very friendly host, affordable, delicious and a great view on the lake and local birds. Great place to stop after San Ramon Waterfall and try local grilled fish, and their fried chicken was to die for, definitely one of the best I ever had... Keep in mind that you may be waiting an hour for you food as the host is also the cook, but definitely worth the wait!
Nice Owners, good Food, nice View. Lovely Dogs.
Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Great service, would more than recommend.
Great place! Big portions of delicious food in a great environment. We got vegetarian food but had it made vegan easily. When we ordered smoothies they went out to a nearby tree to get our fresh coconuts! Super friendly family run business.
After hiking the San Ramon Waterfall, we were very hungry and this is the closest place to eat. It's local so the food is not only very affordable, but it's also very delicious, with a lakefront view!nnThis is a family-run business. Maria & Eddie provided excellent customer service and we very much enjoyed our dining experience here. We even saw monkeys nearby.
Excellent place to relax and have a good view of the sunset, the owners are very friendly, the food is delicious and very good portion, I love the beautiful fried fish from Lagunero. I recommend for couples and families
Very good and hearty fish meal in a magnificent setting. Eddy and Marie are very kind and helpful. They helped us repair the motorcycle.
Lovely place for having some lunch or dinner! The smoothies are super good and everything is fresh. I can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants to eat at a authentic place with a beautiful view! :)
We were looking for a place to get authentic food and we were not disappointed!nThe food was really good and so fresh, that the owner had to harvest coconut for our smoothies. The place is directly at the lake, if you are lucky you can sit and eat, while your feet are on the water. All in all an amazing experience, glad we stopped there!
Fantastic!!! Location is already a dream, host super friendly and honest, food super fresh, the best I had in Nicaragua!! Recommended! Go to visit comedor Christin!!!
