Very tasty and well-seasoned food! Our food took a while to be ready, but the anticuchos were very juicy and delicious, it was worth the wait. Although it is typically Peruvian, since I became vegan I have never eaten a dish that reminded me so much of the flavor of Brazilian barbecue skewers. A very nostalgic experience.nnNote for Brazilians: their card machine did not accept my Wise. Bring cash or ask to generate a virtual payment link.
Oiga is so good! Vegan anticucheria, specializing in plant based anticuchos which were delicious (so much so that we finished our first platter and ordered a second). Located in a casual outdoor food court setting with a few different restaurant stalls and ample seating across two floors. The flavors, seasoning, and texture were on point. Seems fairly popular for a vegan restaurant in Peru; we saw lots of people coming and eating or ordering food to go. Highly recommended!
I loved the potato stuffed with anticucho!! Well served and rich. Friendly, warm and punctual attention.
At first the flavor is good, but very loaded with spices or seasoning so that you don't notice that it is not meat. Then, your stomach starts to bother you because of all the spice and seasoning. I don't recommend it.
Spectacular, incredibly delicious!!!! Highly recommended!
The food was very tasty. But only order one anticucho, two are too much to share, especially because of the intense taste. The place seemed a bit inconspicuous and deserted to us. But we didn't regret it and would come back.
Oh. My. God. The vegan anticuchos were so good I had to order a full second meal! So smoky, juicy and savory… plus the texture was just perfect, even after microwaving leftovers the next day! They had many vegan sauces to choose from as well. The fries were perfectly crisped and the potatoes expertly seasoned. The place itself is nestled in a shipping container shared with a vegan burger/chick’n sandwich place along side 2 other food vendors. The lowkey picnic-y vibe was perfect for a good hang out and stuff your face sesh with a friend. The woman at the register was very kind and patient with my horrible Spanish and ignorance of Peruvian sauces. My only regret is not having enough time in Lima to visit this place again!
The food was quite delicious. We ordered stuffed potatoes, lomo saltado, and mushroom chili. Unfortunately, the lomo saltado and chili arrived overly salted, almost inedible. It's a shame because the flavor itself was delicious. The stuffed potatoes were delicious. The service was a bit slow but friendly.
The flavor is somewhat strong but pleasant, like a lomo saltado, maybe the onion and tomato were burned a little but it's fine, the service and atmosphere are very good, recommended
It is not the first time I visit Oiga!, however yesterday I went to see their new Creole menu for lunch (from 12 to 5 pm)nnThe restaurant is located in a food court format made with containers but it was not difficult for us to find a tablennWe ordered a leche de tigre with yellow chili and a potato stuffed with anticucho (with huancaína sauce on the base), both dishes were very well made and with a delicious flavor. For my part, I felt that there was little mountain canchita in the leche de tigre but It was compensated with some seafood cracklings that were given complimentary :)nnAbout prices, somewhat high but within the range of plant based restaurants in the areannHey!/La Recontra are restaurants that I would return to not because I am vegan, but because the food is really good
1) The Creole menu isn't worth the price.nDefinitely.n2) The rice was overcooked.n3) Their jelly looked more like nuggets than fish cracklings.n4) The prices are higher than normal.nnVegetarian restaurants charge a price, like seitan and Asian, but I was definitely shocked by these prices.
A food court nestled among shipping containers offers a dry atmosphere with delicious Peruvian fast food classics in vegan style. It's definitely a great discovery, even for meat-eaters; the food is excellent. A wide variety of sauces and super-fast service! Be sure to arrive before noon for the chicharrones. You won't regret the trip. The anticuchos are to die for!
