⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mango Tango steals my heart—one sunset meal at a time. The view over the water is stunning enough to make you forget the world. Having dinner and cocktails just as the sky blushes pink is a subtle kind of perfection. Monica, the owner, runs the show with a grace that’s matched only by her sister’s knack for pitching in, and the staff’s genuine warmth. For an island joint, it’s got a surprising polish—classy without trying too hard. The food? Let’s just say it’s the best kind of surprise, consistently delicious in an unassuming way. After a tropical storm knocked it down for three months, Mango Tango’s return feels like triumph. I’m glad it’s back—better, somehow, and still wonderfully itself.
This restaurant is situated right by the water and therefore is a lovely constant breeze. The service & food were excellent!nYou are able to smoke in the restaurant which would be a draw back for returning. There is a beautiful deck surrounding the restaurant, perhaps this would be a better choice to smoke?
Super good service, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere!
This place is incredible, I loved everything, the food was delicious, the best pasta with shrimp I've ever had, the view very beautiful and the service excellent, highly recommended if you want to eat delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere.
Had a small portion of fries that tasted like they were fried in old oil (about $10), a portion of cranberry raisins bread with one ice cream ball ($10) - I was disappointed, the dessert was nothing special and it was way too sweet. Had a margarita ($10) which was the only thing that tasted good. Fries took 40min to come out
Too many people in the restaurant to offer good service. Never offered a refill on my drink and waitstaff took the order and disappeared. 1.5 hour wait for the food and asked server for another drink, she took my glass and never returned.nThe food on the other hand was excellent. My recommendation is wait for a slow night and enjoy the open restaurant, the Caribbean, and the food.
I've always been a fan of Mango Tango since its old location. And the new one is even better. Awesome burger, superb pasta and great sea food choices. The cocktails are over the top and they have craft beer, which for me is definitely a plus.
Absolutely gorgeous location. High quality food.
Hands down the best restaurant on the island. Excellent cocktails and delicious food. Sad to have only had time to go once!
Amazing food and cocktails! Had the ahi tuna tataki as an appetizer and was probably one of the best dishes I've had in all of honduras! Shrimp Raviola was unreal as well! The owner came by and chatted with us and made sure we were having an amazing experience! 100% must check out restaurant in Utila!nnOur friend also had a heat stroke incident in the restaurant and the owner pulled out all the stops to make sure she was OK before we left. 110% for customer service.
Good to this place and visit the wonderful staff and great food!
One of the must-eats on the island. Very affordable for amazing seafood.
Definitely the best restaurant on the island, its food is delicious, there is nothing I don't like, it is a bit expensive but its quality and portion make it worth the price. I have had the opportunity to go several times and tried several dishes, I would recommend a beef carpaccio as a starter and then a diavola or white wine pasta, on the other hand the surf n' turf is a 10/10 with the filet mignon to the middle ground. For dessert I tried the tiramisu, which didn't fail me either. The prices per person are between L 400-600 and I repeat that it is totally worth it.
The best restaurant in Utila. Absolutely recommended. Wide choice of dishes, well presented and with well balanced flavors.
We had the plantain shrimp and they were delishhhh, big juicy prawns!nVery yummy Espresso martini (and I’m a snob for them)nThe surf and turf was impressive, lovely portion of big prawns with it, we asked for the steak blue and it was perfectly cooked.nThe prawn and tomato pasta was also yummy.nTo top it off the staff are super friendly, attentive and just lovely!nHighly highly recommend
I ordered their mango tango salad for lunch, but without bacon since I’m allergic to meat products. Waited over 30 min during a not busy time. Got a salad with bacon inside of it but i couldn’t see it so i ate it accidentally. Location is nice though
I tried the sweet potato ravioli, and it was delicious. So, too, was the tiramisu. Yum!
Loved the Firecracker Shrimp!! We had it 3 times while on the island. Our other meals were awesome too. Tagliatelle with smoked salmon and lion fish tacos. We highly recommend this place!
Quality and Consistency best describe this restaurant.nnUnquestionably the best restaurant in Utila. Can never decide what to get, but I truly appreciate their espresso machine when I want an Irish Coffee.nnEggs Benny brunch Sundays 11am - 2pm (closed Sunday night).nnTapas Wednesdays. The only day for beef sliders w au jus.nn*New menu item: proper Caeser salad authentic home made dressing - using the original tried & true recipe. Many people talk about Mango Tango as the best restaurant on the island, and it certainly offers a lot. The food is delicious, as are the drinks. It also offers the experience of dining with a great ocean view. The prices are a bit high for the island, but you'd imagine people also pay for the exclusivity.
Absolutely delicious, probably our favourite dinner on the island. Slightly more expensive than other options but worth it for a more 'proper' restaurant experience. Great staff, the cocktails are great and the lion fish burger was delicious (better than the picture looks)
All of the raviolis I had were great. I tried the shrimp one and the sweet potato one. They were fantastic and service was great. The staff was friendly and got our food there on time even though there was no power. The atmosphere is chill and nice. Bathrooms are clean and functional. Overall very good place to eat
Group of 20 and everyone Happy to their meal
Wonderful restaurant, beautiful location by the water, every food & drink were exceptional, & the staff was very friendly! Definitely recommend.
Was very, very good. Get the bread pudding.
Very nice and pretty place. Good service.nOverpriced though.
Excellent food, service too
Nice food on the water. Great service
Food is ok for the price, one of the nicer places on the island. Service sometimes takes some delay and checkout is done at the bar and can take some time as well.
