The food is good but the quantities are really very small. The fry potion has 40 only 9 fries!
Soda Los Antojitos is a great place for a tasty and authentic meal in Moyogalpa. They serve home-made food here at affordable prices, and the portions are really solid. The service is nice and polite, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. A perfect place for local flavors and a moment of rest after exploring Ometepe. It's definitely worth visiting!
Local atmosphere, very pleasant staff, sufficient and reasonably priced meals!nnNothing to say, great value for money!
I come here often for the great food, service, and especially the amazing fruit smoothies. The prices are great too
I'm not even waiting to finish my steak with jalapeño before writing this. It's delicious. Great job
Great, vegetarian Cantonese rice + top-notch Cantonese chicken rice.nWarm welcome, good atmosphere.nnAnd a very good Chilean wine
Went to have breakfast 3 times there! Its cheap and good! Plus the service is fast
Tasty food, friendly staff, great value. We liked it so much we ate there three times!
It is the 3rd time I have come and they always maintain good quantity and quality of food, good prices, good cleanliness of the place, and although they changed locations (now it is a corner), which is now larger, they maintain good clientele. The service is average, but friendly, as one would expect. The bathrooms, although clean, could improve.
I didn't like that they said they open at 6 a.m. and that it was the only option to have breakfast at that time before an excursion, and in the end they weren't open.
We ate whole fish and beers. Very rich in the center of Moyogalpa. I would come back for another fish
Very good drinks, portions not huge for the price. Staff rather unfriendly, and they immediately add a 10% service charge to the bill.
Best banano smoothie I ever had ! Price was reasonable and the food was pretty good
Good food, but a little bit shabby for the price. Horrible, indifferent service.
The food is average. The owner threatened to beat me because I told him that the price they charged me for an extra egg was unreasonable. The owner called his colleague and between the two of them they intimidated me and threatened to hit me.
Decent food for an evening snack, wasn’t the best on the island but did the trick.nLacking flavour mostly but decent portions.nStaff were friendly and standard service.nNot much of an atmosphere but this was just after a blackout.
Good food although a little average for what you pay. Therefore they have a wide range of options.
Amazing nica breakfast before catching the ferry. The juices were fantastic and the coffee too. Bright and sunny cafe, cozy place to eat.
great food with enough vegetarian options; delicious smoothies; good prices and friendly service.nIn 3 days in Moyogalpa we were there 3 times and 3 times very satisfied
What a wonderful Soda! My favorite part of Moyogalpa and excellent local lunches and dinners.
The gentleman who runs the shop is extremely friendly. The restaurant is very clean and has seating inside/out. Although there is another adjacent restaurant with the same name as you can see from my menu photos - not sure if that is meant to separate restaurant from bar but both have areas with a power outlet to sit and work. I came by twice: first for classic Nica breakfast with deliciously fresh triple mixed juice and the jalapeño beef which was a bit salty but meant to balance off with the gallo pinto. It was cash only and they charge 10% auto-gratuity but for everything that came with the experience, it was worth it.
Authentic local food for affordable prices! Service was fast and staff were kind. They made a mistake on our bill, but when we pointed it out, they cleared it up no problem & were super apologetic about the mix up :)
Quite a nice lunch, portions are good and decent value.
It gets a little crowded in the mornings. Very good food
This place came highly recommended by virtually everyone in Myogalpa, and its a shame I never really got to properly experience the restaurant. I visited to take away some breakfast for the following morning before doing the Concepcion hike, and the owner was extremely helpful in recommending a good dish for the following day.nnRather than the usual desayuno options, he suggested the chicken fried rice for 215C. We agreed that it would probably not taste as good the next day but that it was a good choice for reheating.nnHowever. I have had reheated fried rice before, and there was a big difference between that, and what I ate for breakfast that following morning. Was there chicken in there? Allegedly. Was there rice? Definitely. Anything else to flavour the fried rice? No, beyond some ketchup and mayo, and overall the portion sizing wasn't huge. It's lucky I had snacks on hand for the hike.nnThe fact is, that Ometepe island is a place where you can get some delicious meals for 180C, and some average breakfasts for 100C. I'm not sure why I ended up with a bad breakfast for more than both then as a result.nnThe owner was super nice and helpful, which is why this is getting 3 stars, but in any other circumstances I'd probably rate it lower.
Maybe just a bad day but.. Where do these positive reviews come from? Food was okay but the atmosphere and service were terrible.
Very good cuisine, the prices are not excessive and it is possible to eat there all day long.
Great value for money! We had pollo jalapeño and the fish fillet. The sea bream in particular was really convincing.
Good, inexpensive, good servicennWorth it
Big portions for good price. Service and food was really good as well.
Food was pretty bad. They put cucumbers on their hamburgers. Who does that lol. Loads of flies, so you are constantly protecting your food. On top of all of that they automatically apply a tip. Would not recommend.
Pleasantly surprised by this place !nCheap and cheerful. The jalapeño chicken fillet dish (with rice and beans) was delicious! I’d go back!
The smoothies are delicious, perfect for a hot day. Very friendly service
