Everything is always very delicious. The cachapas are very tasty as is their passion fruit juice. When we are in Playa we always try to go there.
Great restaurant, good fresh and quality products!! And very friendly managers
Wow, I finally was able to satisfy my arepa’s cravings and their empanadas fresh out of the oil were so good. It was generously filled and absolutely authentically tasty. So much so that I had to take one to go as well. I will be going back to try more things of their menu because so many things had me salivating!
I must say that it is a very nice place, it is a place where the food is prepared at the moment by the owner, the service is excellent, you feel very well cared for.nnThe arepas and the Creole dish with the shredded meat, uffff, a delight.nnIf you are looking to try Venezuelan food this is the right place, in terms of quality and price it is more than well balanced.nnI will definitely return.
Affordable and soooo delicious! I stayed in playa del Carmen for 3 days and came here every single day. Highly recommend
We found this spot looking for vegetarian food, this was the first restaurant we ate at in mexico. We ate perfect the perfect meal! The old lady was very cute
The most delicious flavor of arepas!! It was where I met them and fell in love with them!!nMy favorite is the shredded meat!!
Mi Kfé stands out as a highlight of the two trips I’ve made to Mexico. Not only do they serve delicious Venezuelan arepas and other incredible food, but we had a chance to talk to the owner and head cook who was absolutely splendid. She assured us she cooks at Mi Kfé with the same love and care she cooks for her family. Judging by the food we had (sampled three arepas plus fried plantain side), her family is incredibly lucky. The Venezuelan flag motif on the wall and small dining room open to the street tops it off with a great atmosphere.
Amazing and authentic Venezuelan cuisine!
Incredible authentic arepas and empanadas. The dough was soft and sweet, beautiful stewed meat and so much cheese. I also ordered a salad with avocado and it was dressed perfectly. Lovely women working there too. Wonderful experience and would recommend and return. A hidden gem to try Venezuelan cuisine
Great food. Ordered a few items to share as a family and wish we had bigger stomachs. A must stop by placenFYI cash only
Absolutely delicious! Lots of veg and meat options, and wonderfully kind staff. Some of the best food we had all week!
Very good arepas and friendly service
Wonderful food, big portions and a large variety of vegetarian options.nLoved it and can just recommend
Delicious!!!!! I would return yes or yes
I am so glad we found this little spot, and went for breakfast here everyday after. It’s the real “home made” deal. The prices are very reasonable (cash only)nThe food is very very good. It’s delicious, clean, and wholesome.nIf I had this place next to my house here in Canada, I would eat here every day!
Some of the BEST food I’ve had in playa del Carmen and you can tell everything is made fresh and from really good ingredients. Make this your first meal in playa!
We absolutely loved the food here, in fact we ate here 3 times while we visited Playa del Carmen. Staff were very friendly, everything was fresh and staff explained what was gluten free and what wasn’t. Can definitely recommend especially the Arepas and our 2 year old kept telling us Empanadas are now his favourite food!
Absolutely delicious food. I am not usually someone that eats much else than American food but let me tell you, this was EXQUISITE!! Lovely owners with impeccable customer service. You will not be disappointed.
Extremely delicious if you want to remember your country in one bite. The service is super friendly. You won't regret visiting this place, which has been in Playa del Carmen for over 10 years!nnPlease try the 3-cheese cachapa, it's delicious!
Excellent arepas and drinks, with very kind service.
Not sure I'd agree with all the five stars reviews. The cachapa was dry, they had no nata for the cachapa nor Malta, and the tequenos were bland. Service was friendly, but nothing to write home to. I would not call this authentic Venezuelan food, although they know what authentic is. It could be a challenge with ingredients, but the range of flavors of the Venezuelan cuisine are not brought to shine here. Average at best.
I am sure our experience was an exception but we got there around closing and they were cleaning up the place and as I recall the person handling the broom, without washing hands or using gloves made the food.nNeedless to say this was the prime suspect of my upset tummy. Also the person seemed annoyed that we came so close to the closing time .nOn the other hand the food was freshly prepared and tasted great
I went with my brother and the truth is the arepas are super delicious, the passion fruit water too, the only problem was that we went at 9 something and they close at 10 so we had to eat quickly
We ordered arepa reina pepiada, patacón, tajadas con queso (fried plantain), tequeños, and arepa sifrina! We were one Venezuelan, two Mexicans, and one Italian! Everyone loved the food! Everything was delicious!
Soooo delicious, 100% recommended. We will return for sure.
A very interesting restaurant for experiencing Venezuelan cuisine. The hostess cooks and serves everything herself. Everything is incredibly delicious and original. The prices are more than reasonable. Definitely recommended!
This place serves the very best empanadas and arepas I’ve ever had. The empanadas are crunchy on the outside, airy on the inside. The cheese empanadas have a beautiful cheese melt inside. The tinga de pollo empanada is also lovely. I also adored the arepas - ordered the chicken breast/gouda and the shredded beef/oaxaca cheese/beans/plantain ones and got immediately hooked. I’ve had arepas in various South American countries and these stand out as the best. The service is outstanding - really lovely women who are passionate about their food. Keep in mind that this place is cash only but is absolutely worth visiting. We went 3x during our one week stay.
My husband and I ate here THREE TIMES during our trip and each time was an incredible experience. I had the Pelua arepa which is shredded stewed beef with Gouda, my husband had the Pabellon, and both were utterly divine!! We each got cheese empanadas which were fried to perfection and had a crispy light batter with a beautiful cheese inside. Quite literally the best empanadas I’ve ever had in my life- insane cheese pull. The passion fruit juice is the thickest we had in playa and is delicious. Service is attentive and the women who own the restaurant are so kind. Don’t miss out on trying their arepas, this Venezuelan restaurant is the place to eat in playa!
The empanadas de carne were absolutely amazing, they tasted just like my grandma’s! I recommend the tamarind water, it is all natural and very refreshing, will definitely be coming back!
Very rich and something different
A little expensive but worth the taste
Delicious Venezuelan food, cute little small business. Flavor packed empanadas and arepas, definitely must try!
The owner was really attentive to our enjoyment. The food was great - authentic venezuelan food.
