The red snapper was amazing, the service was prompt and very friendly, the atmosphere was an open air, covered, beachfront setting with a breeze, how can you get any better than that unless you get visited by hummingbirds.
This Costa Rican restaurant surprises with its yuca empanadas stuffed with chicken: a delicious and unusual combination. The dough is soft and slightly crispy, with a unique flavor, and the filling is well-seasoned and juicy. A gem of Costa Rican and Caribbean cuisine. Highly recommended!
A place you shouldn't miss on your visit to Roatan. If you're staying in West End and just finished your dive, Pura Vida has excellent food and drinks to satisfy your craving. I ordered the fish ceviche and the casado, and they were both excellent. I recommend trying the cocktails with white wine; the service is excellent.
The Ceviche is very, very delicious!! Very nice staff and good located. Can recommend 100%
Great empanadas, fresh conch cerviche, beach setting. Nice folks too.
Best food on the island by far, the staff are amazing and so welcoming. The food is incredible, and the drinks are good. Amazing ocean view and the snorkeling off the beach is awesome, I would recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent food. Fresh and flavorful. The service is unmatched. Will be coming back soon.
Our favorite food in west end. Try everything you will love it
Amazing fresh homemade food! If you are gluten free this is a great place to go. Everything is made fresh from scratch. My only thing is that if you are in a hurry don't eat here. Since the make everything from scratch it's a bit slow. You can also sit at the beach and order food which is nice if you want to snorkel.
Exquisite food served in a heavenly setting with excellent service
This may be the best food on the island! We had the empanadas, ceviche and the fried fish appetizer. All were absolutely incredible! The sauces on the table were supreme as well. Alex made for a most memorable experience in an absolutely stunning location! Can’t wait to come back!
The best place ever to eat and enjoy with the family the view is amazing the food, ceviches & Sangrías are a deliciousness!! All the staff are very friendly and the service is great!
The best food in the world and the view can’t be beat. The ceviche is the best!!!
Atmosphere, food and service couldn’t be better. Thank you so much for our first dinner in Roatan - a welcome I’ll never forget!
This was recommended by our hotel as a great local place cooking Costa Rican food. Gotta say that it was better than almost all of the food we had last year in Costa Rica. The staff was super nice. The tropical sangria was refreshing, the chicken empanadas were outstanding and the shrimp stuffed lobster was incredible. To be right on the beach with a nice breeze topped it off. Highly recommend!
Great food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Drinks are all hand crafted with fresh ingredients and are super refreshing. The staff take a lot of pride in providing excellent service and ensuring the beach and property are exceptionally clean, especially Alex.
10/10 great food, service, right on the water. Would def recommend
Excellent food, drink and service. Alex was amazing on his service, we had two nice chair right on the beach where you can enjoy the view and a nice snorkling spot just 50 m away. I had the chance to see a stingray on my first dive. Food was hot and tasty. I highly recommend Pura vida, don’t hesitate to stop by.
Kind of hard to find from the road, follow path to gelato, it is behind it on the water.nnFantastic snapper, fresh ingredients, interesting fresh juices, great view.nnOur last dinner in Roatan, a great way to end it.
Don't know if someone called out sick last minute but there was only one server tending to multiple tables. Wait time suffered and we sat for over 20 mins just to be given menus. Then everything was just sloooow... Food took almost 40 mins to come out. Food was good though. Drinks were good but, no beers. Maybe not a good night, but we left feeling that the wait was not worth it.
An amazing restaurant with incredible ingredients! There’s a beach connected with chairs and snorkeling 20 feet away. The food is delicious. The setting is incredible..
We came for 2 for 1 sangria. We got lounge chairs on the beach for the afternoon with our purchase. Alex took care of us really well. The empanadas were great.
Amazing spot to eat right on the beach. Delicious tuna tartare, empanadas and ceviche! Friendliest service ever!
This Costa Rican restaurant came recommended to us and we went for dinner. It has a wonderful beach front that customers can use and they have a shower. The tropical sangria and the fresh mocktail we ordered was delicious. We got the tuna tartare in plantain cups and the yuca empanadas and both were outstanding. For our main course, we had the wrapped snapper, which comes whole and it was amazing. Service was extremely kind and attentive and we'd go back in a heartbeat. Their homemade hot sauce was to die for and you can buy a bottle. Mostly gluten free too!
Awesome spot with fresh delicious food in West End. Strongly recommend. Has awesome views of the bay and beach too.
I don't think you can beat this restaurant in West End. The food was terrific and reasonably priced. The staff is awesome! The owner, Nancy, became a friend as well as the waiter and waitress. The view was incredible on the ocean. Loved it so much! They had gluten free, vegan and vegetarian as well as meat options. They were so kind and the food was totally amazing!
This is by far my favorite ceviche on the island! Such great shrimp dishes and the service is on point!
iiiish. I’m surprised this place has such a great rating. We dined out here last night. They were busy and I’m usually pretty patient but after an hour and 6 minutes we started looking around to see where our meal was… bartender/manager came over and said “it’s busy you’ll have to wait.” We told him we’d just like our check. He nodded his head and walked away. 12 minutes later my dining partner went to the bar and asked to pay so we could leave. The guy says “if you want fast food go to America” iiiiiish. I mean over an hour and 15 minutes for fried rice and a sushi app? No gracias. Could have been recovered if the staff was nice. We were super bummed out. To top it off they put everything in to go containers AND CHARGED US FOR THE TO GO CONTAINERS. Like damn.
Small restaurant on the West end beach, spectacular view, you can even eat on the sand with your feet in the water.nVery good food, especially the seafood dishes. Costa Rican cuisine that I didn't know, very good, I returned for the second time both for the beach and for the food.nSUPER RECOMMENDED.
Stopped in for dinner. Our server was so friendly and happy, and made us feel very welcome despite being very very busy. Had some excellent sangria on special, and tried the Chifrijo bowls, which were phenomenal. The food and service here is really excellent.
Absolutely amazing food. The shrimp stuffed lobster was heaven like. The atmosphere is right on the beach. The sangaria is expertly made. But the best part was our server Alex. So warm and inviting and full of good energy. Don't sleep on the banana bread with coconut ice cream. We will definitely be back.
Very delicious food and great cocktail!
Spent a week in Roatan and this was in the top two restaurants we tried. The empanadas were amazing, the drinks fresh, and the red snapper was juicy and delicious. Add in the view of the bay and the fresh sea breeze coming in and it was a perfect meal.
Yumeili the bartender was fantastic and made great drinks for us. It was raining super hard when we finished dinner. The server, Flor, walked us back to our room with umbrellas so they we wouldn’t get soaked. Above and beyond service.
Our best meal here! I wish we had gotten here earlier in the trip so I could try everything on the menu. We had the Rondon, and the Casado Tico, with refreshing Aguitas. It’s tucked down by the beach, but don’t overlook it!
