An absolute gem! Authentic food, island life atmosphere, and truly wonderful staff. We ate here several times and enjoyed the delicious drinks by award winning mixologist Johnny. Enjoy relaxing all day with views like this!
Really a great place. Nicest to stay, eat and drink. A definite must go to when on the island. Atmosphere is not “tour boat”.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Blue Bahia Beach Grill in Sandy Bay, Roatan, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I arrived, the laid-back beachfront vibe and stunning Caribbean Sea views set the perfect tone. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home.nnI tried their grilled fish, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with that authentic island taste. The menu has something for everyone, from juicy burgers to tasty seafood dishes. Pairing my meal with one of their tropical cocktails (the Monkey LaLa is a must-try) made it even more enjoyable.nnWhat I loved most was the relaxed atmosphere—sitting by the water, feeling the breeze, and enjoying great service. Whether you’re there for a casual breakfast before a dive lunch, a sunset dinner, or one of their fun themed nights like lobster night or live music Thursdays and tonight (Sunday)n, Blue Bahia Beach Grill is a gem worth visiting. I can’t wait to go back!
We wanted a beach side restaurant and this was a great spot. You literally drive on the beach to get to the resort and restaurant! A bit unnerving but totally legitimate.n3 of us had sea bass and one had grilled chicken. Tasty meals and a great choice of sides to choose from.
Loved our dining experiences. Good food, friendly staff, delicious cocktails, and a cosy ambiance.
Come on what a gem.... jerk chicken dish as frigging outstanding. Spiced perfectly and cooked really really well. The young lass (Madison) serving us was a delight and we had a triple treat with the live music. The chap had a great voice and it was just loud enough to allow us to eat and continue a conversation without being overpowered. We are going to try their breakfasts this week and I am going to bet they will rock also. Add in it is pet friendly and you have a great dining experience.
The food here was delicious! I got the whole snapper. Other great dishes are the garlic shrimp and grilled lobster with garlic sauce. The margaritas were also great! They have happy hour here for drinks! I really enjoyed the entertainment/music they had. We went on a Sunday evening. Do not be discouraged about the road coming into the restaurant. It’s one lane and small. There’s not much room to turn around at the bottom but, we were able to in our decent size suv.
Great place ! Food was good and the service great. The evening we were there had live music.nRight on the beach.nA bit tricky to get to the parking lot- but drive slowly and you will be okay. Worth it!
Great place on the beach. Google maps has you drive along the beach to get to it. Just park out front.
Jerk chicken, it was good.
This was a good restaurant! They had a small menu but it accommodated all dietary needs and was very delicious! The vibes were awesome with AMAZING LIVE MUSIC, nice seating and quick service all right on the beach; with beautiful views of the water! Though it’s pricey it is worth it for the vibes, views and food!
On the beach, on an island and no Honduran authentic seafood dishes. We were disappointed but it wasn't bad.
Service is greatnFood is even betternA real hidden gem
Wonderful place, great food, perfect atmosphere and Carlos made us feel right at home.
One of the most delicious meals I have had on the island. The service was friendly if a little sloppy.nThe environment is pleasant and safe.nPrices in line with the quality of the food and the landscape of the place.
I had heard good things about Blue Bahia and had been past it a few times on the beach, but had never actually been. - I made sure to change that this visit.nnThe place is a little bit tucked away in an unassuming island neighborhood, and you even have to (...I should say 'get to'....) drive on the beach for the last leg. That section of sand is compacted, and it presents no problems for a regular car.nnI had a drink and a meal at the bar, while dining alone. - I had the Fresh Island Lobster Dinner: Two lobster tails steamed or grilled, with a choice of two sides. I got it grilled (with the garlic butter dipping sauce), a salad, and mixed veg. The lobster tails are small, but the three items combined made for a perfect meal size. The lobster was simply prepared and presented, as were the two sides. They are things you could get elsewhere.....However, why would you? - Though simple, everything was prepared properly and was quite tasty. And all for about $20. Combine that with the service and the location/view, and you have a winning combination. 5 stars.nnSpeaking of service, I was well taken care of by two chill guys. Special shout out to Walter. Had a chance to chat with a local and Walter.....Good people; good times.nnBlue Bahia is the kind of restaurant bar you come to for the experience most people come to Roatan for: chill people, relaxed vibe, good food, unique setting, nice value. - I will certainly be back.
We spent a LOT of time at Blue Bahia Beach Grill during our time in Roatan. My husband and boys dove through Sandy Bay Divers (onsite of Blue Bahia Resort - we highly recommend them as well!), so we were there every day. Not only did they have a fantastic menu - literally everything we ordered was delicious - but the staff was absolutely AWESOME!!!! The owners, Rebecca and Adam put their heart into this place and it trickles down and shows in each person. Special shout-outs to Joseu, CoCo, Wally & Johnny. We really enjoyed meeting you all and a HUGE thank you for making our trip so memorable and special!!! Can't wait to see you all again!
We found this place on the internet and took a chance on staying here for our first trip to Roatan. We were greeted by an awesome staff and the room is great. The Beach Grill has a wonderful breakfast and the lobster is great!! Everything we had on the menu was fantastic.
Great view on a fairly calm & quiet section of beach. Food was average. Service was slow, but charming. Charming spot, and don't regret going, though don't plan on making a second visit.
This was by far our favorite restaurant on Roatan and we tried quite a few. Adam and his staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great, atmosphere, great location and amazing food. Lobster Wednesdays were awesome and loved the buffalo wings. I didn't have the heart to tell you i'm a big KC fan but I do root for the Bills when they are not playing KC :) Thanks for all the great food and great memories!! Andy aka Danny Noonan :)
Beautiful spot on the beach. It was wonderful to get a taste of home. Being from Buffalo I had the chicken wing dip and it was fantastic also had the baleada which was delicious!!
One of my favorite spots on the island. I was staying at Blue Bahia Resort, and tried a lot of breakfast and dinner options.nFood is very good, and prices are very reasonable (compared to West End, I would say “cheap” :)nThe service is great, and the place has its unique vibe - very relaxed and cool.nThey have wonderful live music on Sundays And Thursdays, and Lobster Tail specials on Wednesday!
Wish I would have taken a picture of the blackened sea bass. Once it arrived I immediately began to enjoy. Great food, great prices and happy hour. The sunset was the bonus. EDIT: Went back for a second meal and had the fish again. Remembered to take a photo.
Hands down the best place to eat and it’s hidden and away from everyone/everythingnService Was 10/10 food was 10/10
Love this place! The staff is awesome. There are always delicious drinks and food! Hi Carlis and Walter, we'll be back in October
This is one of the best restaurants for breakfast. This is the one. I recommend eating here with such an amazing atmosphere and beautiful beach view.
heard good things about this place from the people who visit roatan often, so we decided to do a night out for dinner here.nit is a little confusing at first coming through the front gates but it’s at the back of the resort, as a covered outdoor dining experience.nI really liked all the options they had, lots of burgers, land and sea options, and different promotions every night. I got the roatan burger which was fully loaded, juicy, on a homemade bun, with fries, and a GIANT monkey lala beverage.nonly con was because it’s an open air restaurant, people smoke and vape in the restaurant which isn’t super appealing when you’re trying to enjoy a meal.noverall, worth visiting for a good meal for a good price, i would suggest going for lunch instead of dinner.
Right on the beach with a great and friendly staff.
Average food and price, good service. Great view on the sea
Love this place. We come here everytime we're in Roatsn. We have never been disappointed. Food is incredible.
Check out the Wednesday lobster deal! The menu is fairly expansive, from burgers to pasta to jerk chicken to fish. Everything is reasonably priced, including the drinks. The mojito and rum punch are both great.nnThe lobster was a bit overcooked unfortunately, but otherwise the food was worth a return for sure.nnIt's absolutely annoying that they have dogs running around the restaurant barking, hopefully they can do something about that. If you can get past that, it's a good stop.
Love the vibe and the Lobster special was delicious.
